Week two fell on World Book Day!
Where we had lots of snuggly fun reading together. The babies loved the lift the flap books and the lovely textured pages kept our crawlers interested. By the age of one your baby has every individual sound in their repertoire to speak their native language- how incredible is that?! Reading to them is a fantastic way of expanding their vocabulary, allowing baby to hear lots of different sounds and words and encourages literacy from the youngest age possible.
Our lovely jingle bells made an appearance, building on that cause and effect concept introduced weekly and our little ones enjoyed the lovely chiffon scarfs- playing peekaboo and encouraging those eye muscles to track and follow the lovely bright colours!
We also experimented with smelling lovely fresh rosemary sprigs- some babies loved this while others weren’t so keen! Babies have their likes and dislikes just like us, but if your baby does enjoy rosemary scents, this is supposed to encourage concentration, focus and and relaxation!
