Our sensory babies went over the rainbow last Thursday where they learned baby sign for different colours, got those eye muscles working with our lovely rainbow ribbons and explored the cause and effect concept with our lovely bright coloured xylophone.
Babies laid under the multi-coloured parachute and chased our lovely primary coloured beach ball around, watching beautiful reflective bubbles fall around them.
Babies only see black and white as newborns with their eyes quickly developing to take in the lovely bright primary colours found in our play space this week, usually showing a preference for yellow and red initially.
Hannah also introduced the concept of single colour sensory play this week- encouraging parents to take a coloured back drop and find household items and toys to match. This improves baby’s focus and depth perception as well as being able to introduce colour vocabulary. Let us know if you give it a go!
